Ampthill's Abdelhamid Ouertani got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pickering FC's Zine Mechemeche got his second yellow card of the match in the 28th minute. The referee ordered Zine Mechemeche off the ground. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ampthill's goal looked a bit too open when Hedi Ben Amor came free, but Anis M'ghirbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hedi Ben Amor to strike the kick off in the second half. Blaise Bejaoui tried in the 53rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Anis M'ghirbi a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-1. Mahmoud Decastel hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Hedi Ben Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Anis M'ghirbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Dermech fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houcine Makhlouf having to interfere. Abdelhamid Ouertani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Houcine Makhlouf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ampthill getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Blaise Bejaoui hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Ampthill's goalkeeper Anis M'ghirbi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hedi Ben Amor. If Mohamed Dermech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
