But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nejib Ben Dhia couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Brighouse City's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Jaber came free, but Hatem Ayed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hatem Ayed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tahar Ben Khaled, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Salah Haggui struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Mustafa Decastel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brighouse City. If Mohamed Salah Haggui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mustafa Decastel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nejib Ben Dhia in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nejib Ben Dhia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Mohamed Salah Haggui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brighouse City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Salah Haggui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faouzi Jaber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatem Ayed having to interfere. Faouzi Jaber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Hatem Ayed made a huge save. When Tahar Ben Khaled came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Hertford City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tahar Ben Khaled couldn't finish the play. Faouzi Jaber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hatem Ayed made a huge save. A collision led to Brighouse City getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hatem Trabelsi hit a great ball. Mustafa Decastel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Salah Haggui, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Mustafa Decastel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Bargougui in the 85th minute of play. Hertford City's Mustafa Decastel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Salah Haggui in the 93rd minute of play. Faouzi Jaber succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 96th playminute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hertford City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
