Battersea AFC's Bechir Achab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jemeleddine Yahyaoui in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chaker M'ghirbi during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Chaker M'ghirbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Battersea AFC's Anouar Basli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. Battersea AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Slim Saidi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aymen Ben Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Slim Saidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Aymen Ben Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Slim Saidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Maher Bhar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The South Woodford FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Aymen Ben Amor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slim Saidi's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Jemeleddine Yahyaoui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Battersea AFC booed when South Woodford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahi Ben Dhia didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jemeleddine Yahyaoui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored South Woodford FC's protests and gave Fathi Chérif a yellow card for diving instead. Fathi Chérif hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bechir Achab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maher Bhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zoubair Jebali's late challenge caught a South Woodford FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zoubair Jebali helped the player get up and apologised. Slim Saidi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Battersea AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in South Woodford FC's zone, Ali Naybet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aymen Ben Amor came out of the goal and Ali Naybet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jemeleddine Yahyaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Battersea AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
