Spectators: 6744 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chokri Makni made the kick off which started today's match. Karim Ghannem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Belgacem having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Bourguiba got free with Ibrahim Belgacem in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute of the match Taoufik Beya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Houcine Ouertani skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Sherborne City booed when Stannington United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chokri Makni didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamdi Jelassi in the 29th minute of play forced Sherborne City's goalkeeper Houcine Ouertani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Sherborne City got a freekick which was hit by Laaroussi Sellami. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Karim Ghannem put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ibrahim Belgacem. Houcine Ouertani came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Stannington United's Hamdi Jelassi. But to his dismay, Hamdi Jelassi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Sherborne City's zone, Hamdi Jelassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Houcine Ouertani came out of the goal and Hamdi Jelassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Karim Ghannem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sherborne City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Ghannem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Stannington United's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Ghannem came free, but Ibrahim Belgacem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Stannington United's Chokri Makni dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Chokri Makni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Sherborne City's goal looked a bit too open when Chokri Makni came free, but Houcine Ouertani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karim Bourguiba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chokri Makni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houcine Ouertani having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Sherborne City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Achour to maneuver through the defense. Sherborne City's Karim Bourguiba got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Stannington United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stannington United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
