In the 32nd minute Ben Mrabet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Jaidi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Beji Sebki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tarak Khaled sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Tamworth United defense, Beji Sebki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehdi Saidi. The Tamworth United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehdi Saidi should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Beji Sebki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Beji Sebki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Saidi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beji Sebki was the one to do the kick off. Achraf Mabrouk hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Longridge's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Chérif came free, but Mohamed Jaidi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Longridge's Hédi Bouazizi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ben Mrabet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Longridge's Mohamed Jaidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Said Ghodhbane in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Longridge booed when Tamworth United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Sellimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th match minute, Longridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achraf Mabrouk to maneuver through the defense. When Anouar Mabrouk fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longridge's protests and gave Anouar Mabrouk a yellow card for diving instead. Mohamed Jaidi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Chérif, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Anouar Mabrouk was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Mrabet in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohamed Jaidi saved Longridge from getting behind. When Majdi Gasmi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tamworth United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Majdi Gasmi couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Longridge had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
