The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mokhtar Trabelsi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Waltham were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kamel Ben Mbarek was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ali Dhahri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mokhtar Trabelsi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salcombe reached it. Waltham were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Salcombe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zouheir Saidi took the corner. 88 minutes into the match, Karim Dhafer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faouzi Chiba . Waltham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karim Dhafer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Lotfi Souayati got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Waltham's zone, Karim Dhafer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faouzi Chiba came out of the goal and Karim Dhafer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Waltham players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
