After a defensive mix-up in St Ives City's zone, Mohamed Ben Aïssa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hadj Salem Boulaabi came out of the goal and Mohamed Ben Aïssa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes, Francileudo Sellimi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St Ives City and the Bridgwater United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, St Ives City's Francileudo Sellimi got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a little luck, St Ives City's Hadj Salem Boulaabi got control of the ball when Mohamed Ben Aïssa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hadj Salem Boulaabi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohamed Ben Aïssa in the 13th minute. St Ives City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mohamed Ladgham 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. If Mohamed Ben Aïssa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. St Ives City's Hadj Salem Boulaabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Ladgham in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of St Ives City booed when Bridgwater United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wissem M'Hedhbi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Mohamed Ladgham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St Ives City's Hadj Salem Boulaabi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Mohamed Ladgham took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Hadj Salem Boulaabi to make any attempt to save it. St Ives City's Hadj Salem Boulaabi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save St Ives City from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Riadh Bachraoui made a kick off. Riadh Bachraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fakhreddine Baccouche having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Bridgwater United's goalkeeper Fakhreddine Baccouche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adel Nefzi. Fakhreddine Baccouche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riadh Bachraoui in the 55th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Bridgwater United got a freekick which was hit by Med al-Husain. St Ives City's Riadh Bachraoui got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Habib Salah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Med al-Husain was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. In the 61st match minute, Bridgwater United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Med al-Husain to maneuver through the defense. Fakhreddine Baccouche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riadh Bachraoui in the 67th minute of play. Fakhreddine Baccouche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adel Nefzi in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Riadh Bachraoui fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fakhreddine Baccouche, passed just outside the right post. Mohamed Ben Aïssa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hadj Salem Boulaabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riadh Bachraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fakhreddine Baccouche having to interfere. Francileudo Sellimi 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fakhreddine Baccouche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Riadh Bachraoui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fakhreddine Baccouche was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Riadh Bachraoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fakhreddine Baccouche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the St Ives City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bridgwater United.
