In the 31st minute Kais El Ouaer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofiene Jebali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed Nefzi made a kick off. Sofiene Jebali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kais El Ouaer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kais El Ouaer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Prestwich AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 54th minute, Karim Eyadema ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sofiene Jebali was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kais El Ouaer in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sofiene Jebali saved Thirsk United from getting behind. When Kais El Ouaer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Prestwich AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kais El Ouaer couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Prestwich AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
