An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaouki Jawachi in the 4th minute of play forced Alville's goalkeeper Kamel Mourali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Hedi Bourguiba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Birmingham Selly Oak FC and the Alville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hedi Bourguiba kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Alville's Kamel Mourali proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Alville from getting a goal against them. Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Melliti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Mourali having to interfere. Med Yahia might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haykel Abdelkader. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Med Yahia ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 played minutes Alville got a freekick which was hit by Muhammad Ben Younes . In the 29th minute Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haykel Abdelkader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alville's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Chaouki Jawachi 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Med Yahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haykel Abdelkader having to interfere. Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Med Yahia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Sadok Ghigani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haykel Abdelkader skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Alville's Kamel Mourali got control of the ball when Mehdi Melliti tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mongi Chiba during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Alville booed when Birmingham Selly Oak FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mongi Chiba didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Med Yahia came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Alville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Med Yahia couldn't finish the play. Sadok Ghigani hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Birmingham Selly Oak FC's Chaouki Jawachi got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haykel Abdelkader showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haykel Abdelkader having to interfere. If Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Birmingham Selly Oak FC's zone, Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haykel Abdelkader came out of the goal and Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Alville's Med Yahia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haykel Abdelkader narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mohamed Mouaia BenAmor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak FC's Tarek Sallemi got a free kick in the 91st minute. Chaouki Jawachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kamel Mourali came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham Selly Oak FC's Mehdi Melliti. But to his dismay, Mehdi Melliti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, Birmingham Selly Oak FC could leave the field as winners, despite Alville having more of the ball for most of the match.
