After a rather tough play, Plymouth AFC's Riadh Karoui got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Mourali in the 40th minute of play forced Stanley City's goalkeeper Taher Naoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kamel Chikhaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lotfi Haddad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fethi Boulaabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kamel Chikhaoui to make the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Plymouth AFC's Mohamed Salhia tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fatah Jemmali hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Wissem Ben Younes came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Stanley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wissem Ben Younes couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Plymouth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaise Agrebi to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
