After 22 minutes, Karim Yahia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wallington and the Knebworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wallington's Karim Yahia got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Karim Sellimi came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Knebworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Sellimi couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Karim Sellimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zouheir Mkademi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Mehdi Escheikh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Wallington got a freekick which was hit by Aymen Bhar. Hamza Gabsi's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Zouheir Mkademi - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 28th minute. Karim Sellimi struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Zouheir Mkademi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knebworth. If Sami Mellouli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Sami Mellouli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Mellouli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knebworth's Ahmed Boukadida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Knebworth from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehdi Escheikh to make the kick off. Zouheir Mkademi made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Karim Sellimi sent off a good shot on target. Karim Sellimi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Knebworth's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sami Mellouli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Knebworth's Zouheir Mkademi threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mehdi Escheikh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zouheir Mkademi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehdi Escheikh went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sami Mellouli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Boukadida having to interfere. Sami Mellouli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmed Boukadida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Zouheir Mkademi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehdi Escheikh's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When Karim Yahia came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Wallington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Yahia couldn't finish the play. Ahmed Boukadida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Mellouli in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Knebworth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
