Spectators: 6752 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Khaled Ben Dhia started the match with the kick off. Rachid Fergani struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Ali Boumnijel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cleethorpes FC. Cleethorpes FC's Karim Merdassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khaled Ben Dhia in the 9th minute of play. Majed Guelbi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Merdassi having to interfere. Khaled Ben Dhia took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karim Merdassi. Karim Merdassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the game, Rachid Fergani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ali Boumnijel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Islington's Majed Guelbi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karim Merdassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fahed Agrebi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Wissem Djait's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Boumnijel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Haroune Cherif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleethorpes FC's Wissem Djait managed to work through Islington's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wissem Djait dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Wissem Djait fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Boumnijel having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Cleethorpes FC got a freekick which was hit by Shuaibu Naouali. 46 minutes into the match, Cleethorpes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Majed Guelbi came free, but Karim Merdassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Majed Guelbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Karim Merdassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wissem Djait to make the kick off. When Fahed Agrebi fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cleethorpes FC's protests and gave Fahed Agrebi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Fahed Agrebi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dali Ameur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karim Merdassi. Cleethorpes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Majed Guelbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Boumnijel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wissem Djait in the 62nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Islington defense, Wissem Djait kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Boumnijel. The Islington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Boumnijel should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wissem Djait in the 72nd minute of play forced Islington's goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wissem Djait received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ali Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wissem Djait might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Boumnijel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wissem Djait ran back to his position shaking his head. Karim Merdassi made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Majed Guelbi sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cleethorpes FC had won after a very even match.
