Mohamed Mahouachi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Jelassi in the 3rd minute of play. If Karim Jelassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Karim Jelassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mehdi Abdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Slimane charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Slimane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Golcar United booed when Wickford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Slimane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Golcar United were awarded a corner. Mongi Robime went to the cornerflag to take it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Golcar United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! In the 19th minute, the referee gave Wickford a penalty. Ayèche Stambouli looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Mohamed Mahouachi. 25 minutes into the game, Chokri Hammemi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golcar United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wickford the free kick. The supporters of Wickford booed when Golcar United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chokri Hammemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golcar United's zone, Karim Jelassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Mahouachi came out of the goal and Karim Jelassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Wickford's Mehdi Abdi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohamed Mahouachi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Golcar United's Ali Tonniche got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Habib Nefzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chokri Hammemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th match minute, Wickford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Slimane to maneuver through the defense. When Ali Tonniche came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Golcar United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Tonniche couldn't finish the play. Fraj Yahia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Wickford's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Tonniche came free, but Habib Nefzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wickford's Habib Nefzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Tonniche in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Mohamed Mahouachi came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Wickford's Karim Jelassi. But to his dismay, Karim Jelassi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Karim Jelassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Abdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Abdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Mahouachi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wickford's zone, Ali Tonniche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Habib Nefzi came out of the goal and Ali Tonniche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karim Jelassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ali Tonniche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Tonniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Habib Nefzi having to interfere. Wickford were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Golcar United for a fine match.
