The audience thought a goal was coming when Habib Jaziri got free with Ahmed Beya in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes Hoylake AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anis Boukorâa. In the 7th match minute, Hoylake AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radhi Majeri to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hoylake AFC's goalkeeper Ahmed Beya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Habib Jaziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khaled Braham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarak Merdassi having to interfere. Harlesden's Habib Jaziri got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Harlesden's Mohamed Missaoui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmed Beya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Harlesden booed when Hoylake AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radhi Majeri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmed Beya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Habib Jaziri in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Missaoui to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Harlesden's zone, Radhi Majeri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarak Merdassi came out of the goal and Radhi Majeri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohamed Missaoui struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ahmed Beya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harlesden. When Mohamed Missaoui came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Harlesden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Missaoui couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Harlesden's zone, Khaled Braham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarak Merdassi came out of the goal and Khaled Braham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Khaled Braham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hoylake AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Harlesden from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
