Spectators: 6754 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1754, VIP seats: 0) Calverley FC's Abdelwahab Ouertani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th play minute Ismail Majeri came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zoubaier Mzali. 1-0. Bassem Cherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Yassine Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slaheddine Jendoubi in the 16th minute of play forced Calverley FC's goalkeeper Zoubaier Mzali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Slaheddine Jendoubi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zoubaier Mzali. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. New Brighton's Slaheddine Jendoubi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yassine Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelwahab Ouertani in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Bassem Cherif left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calverley FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ismail Majeri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoubaier Mzali having to interfere. When Ismail Majeri came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the New Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismail Majeri couldn't finish the play. Imed Brahem hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Abdelwahab Bargawi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yassine Santos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Abdelwahab Ouertani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bassem Cherif struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Yassine Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calverley FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

A collision led to Calverley FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Khaled Beya hit a great ball. Slaheddine Jendoubi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Zoubaier Mzali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calverley FC's Zoubaier Mzali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slaheddine Jendoubi in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Calverley FC's zone, Ismail Majeri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoubaier Mzali came out of the goal and Ismail Majeri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Slaheddine Jendoubi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoubaier Mzali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Calverley FC got a freekick which was hit by Sabri Ladgham. Zoubaier Mzali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismail Majeri, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tarak Mabrouki hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Slaheddine Jendoubi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Brighton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slaheddine Jendoubi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismail Majeri in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoubaier Mzali saved Calverley FC from getting behind. A collision led to New Brighton getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rachid El Bez hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelwahab Ouertani in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yassine Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chaouki Sayah kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New Brighton had won after a very even match.
