Calverley FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Purbrook City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdelwahab Bargawi took the corner. In the 15th minute Abdelwahab Ouertani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Habib Benfrej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bassem Yahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zoubaier Mzali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Purbrook City's Ahmed Habib Benfrej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelwahab Ouertani in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bassem Cherif managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calverley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bassem Cherif was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Habib Benfrej breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bassem Cherif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bassem Cherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Habib Benfrej having to interfere. When Habib Gharbi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purbrook City's protests and gave Habib Gharbi a yellow card for diving instead. Bassem Cherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ahmed Habib Benfrej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Habib Benfrej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelwahab Ouertani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelwahab Ouertani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Habib Benfrej having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taieb Chikhaoui got free with Zoubaier Mzali in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bassem Yahia in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoubaier Mzali saved Calverley FC from getting behind. Purbrook City's Taieb Chikhaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bassem Cherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 59th match minute, Purbrook City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aymen Namouchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, one of Purbrook City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Purbrook City. Bassem Cherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Habib Benfrej having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Purbrook City's Bassem Mestiri got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ahmed Habib Benfrej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelwahab Ouertani in the 70th minute of the match. When Calverley FC's Bassem Cherif in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Purbrook City's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmed Habib Benfrej was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abdelwahab Ouertani showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. If Bassem Yahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 100th minute Bassem Yahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoubaier Mzali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Calverley FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Calverley FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
