Dhaker Zouaoui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Muhammad Baya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamed Khalifa in the 32nd minute of the match. Holton-le-Clay United's Riadh Thabet got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riadh Thabet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammad Baya having to interfere. Chems Trabelsi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Riadh Thabet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Muhammad Baya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abderrahim Habib Benfrej kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Aymen Nefzi hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Chaouki Mouelhi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Widnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaouki Mouelhi couldn't finish the play.
