In the 34th minute, Mongi Jaïdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amine Sayah hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Mongi Jaïdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Abdallah al-Amin fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croston's protests and gave Abdallah al-Amin a yellow card for diving instead. Abdallah al-Amin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Croston's Habib Sallemi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Croston from getting a goal against them. Ferid Ouertani was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 93 minutes into the match, Windlesham's goal looked a bit too open when Houcine Aleya came free, but Mustafa Bachraoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Ferid Ouertani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Sallemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Windlesham eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
