The Newquay AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Newquay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hichem Dhouib came free, but Hamdi Melliti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sandwich's Sadok Limam got a free kick in the 29th minute. Habib Ladgham charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Habib Ladgham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Sandwich got a freekick which was hit by Habib Ladgham. Bahi Bouzayane's late challenge caught a Newquay AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bahi Bouzayane helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Sandwich got a freekick which was hit by Bahi Bouzayane. Newquay AFC's Abdallah Chimane couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sandwich. Abdallah Chimane took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zouheir Majeri. Sandwich's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Bernard Sallemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Newquay AFC's Hamza Zahani got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamza Zahani was the one to do the kick off. Zouheir Majeri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamza Zahani in the 53rd minute of the match. Adel Karoui struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Hamdi Melliti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandwich. Anis Jaziri's late challenge caught a Newquay AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamza Zahani in the 61st minute of play forced Sandwich's goalkeeper Zouheir Majeri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hichem Dhouib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hamdi Melliti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zouheir Majeri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Newquay AFC booed when Sandwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sadok Limam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newquay AFC's Abdallah Chimane shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zouheir Majeri but with some difficulty. After 92 minutes, Adel Karoui made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Newquay AFC's Hamdi Melliti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
