The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hassib M'ghirbi during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Oussama Mestiri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in New Ash Green's zone, Oussama Mestiri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamed Koissy came out of the goal and Oussama Mestiri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Majed Ben Chimane put in a rough tackle. In the 48th minute, one of New Ash Green:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Ash Green. Achref Rehouma walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Hamza Kaâbi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of New Ash Green booed when Dartmouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdallah Abdeljilil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Hatem Ouertani sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dartmouth FC's Tahar Namouchi didn't even have to move. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamed Koissy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oussama Mestiri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Salah Achour's late challenge caught a Dartmouth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Salah Achour helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes New Ash Green got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Salah Achour. 84 minutes into the match, Dartmouth FC's goalkeeper Tahar Namouchi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hedi Mabrouk. Oussama Mestiri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
