The shot was a little too simple and Hassan Belgacem could save by the left post. Honiton's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oussama Chérif in the 8th minute. The corner led Honiton's Oussama Chérif to fire away a dangerous shot which Hassan Belgacem despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Honiton's Akram Jbara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adel Merdassi in the 9th minute of play. Hocine Nefzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Hassan Belgacem made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chaouki Sfar in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akram Jbara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hocine Nefzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the game, Liss's Adel Merdassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Akram Jbara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Adel Merdassi got free in front of the goal in the 32nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Akram Jbara was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Liss getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mohamed Ali Khalfaoui hit a great ball. Hassan Belgacem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slaheddine Karray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Liss booed when Honiton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anouar Fitouri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Chaouki Sfar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liss's supporters rose to their feet, but Chaouki Sfar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akram Jbara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adel Merdassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Honiton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Khemili to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Adel Merdassi in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adel Merdassi to make the kick off. Hocine Nefzi took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hassan Belgacem. Hassan Belgacem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Anouar Fitouri was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Liss getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aymen Dhaouadi hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Liss's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Nefzi came free, but Hassan Belgacem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chaouki Sfar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Liss fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaouki Sfar couldn't finish the play. Adel Merdassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Akram Jbara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chaouki Sfar in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Akram Jbara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Akram Jbara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adel Merdassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Hocine Nefzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adel Merdassi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akram Jbara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Hassan Belgacem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hocine Nefzi's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. If Chaouki Sfar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Honiton's goal looked a bit too open when Adel Merdassi came free, but Akram Jbara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hocine Nefzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Chaouki Sfar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akram Jbara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Liss players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
