Derby's Férid Ben Sellami got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Férid Ben Sellami cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kaies Khemili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the game, Bahi Meriah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Med Ali Sellami was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Férid Ben Sellami came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Derby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Férid Ben Sellami couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Achraf Zouiten to make the kick off. Med Ali Sellami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Ben Kefacha in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Comberton booed when Derby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hedhili Sassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Comberton's goal looked a bit too open when Férid Ben Sellami came free, but Kaies Khemili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Med Ali Sellami took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehdi Ben Kefacha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Mehdi Ben Kefacha rounded Derby's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. If Mehdi Ben Kefacha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Comberton's Kaies Khemili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achraf Zouiten in the 71st minute of play. Med Ali Sellami was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Muhammad Amri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Férid Ben Sellami in the 75th minute of play forced Comberton's goalkeeper Kaies Khemili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Derby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Dahmani to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Derby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karim Korbi was slow to take the kick. During this time Comberton's players had a chance to rest. Comberton's Karim Korbi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Med Ali Sellami in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bahi Meriah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Med Ali Sellami having to interfere. Ali Mabrouk's late challenge caught a Comberton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Mabrouk helped the player get up and apologised. The Comberton players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
