When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Zahaf made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamdi Mechemeche got free with Ajmi Thabet in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Zahaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Braham having to interfere. Mehdi Braham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hatem Saidi in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Holmfirth United's Heithem Jelassi got a free kick in the 67th minute. Anis Hleli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Anis Hleli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reading's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anis Hleli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamdi Mechemeche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Reading a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
