Muhammad Jouili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Romney's Issam Massaoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaies Chimane in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Woodchurch AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Aziza came free, but Akram Sayah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Kaies Chimane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Issam Massaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bahi M'hadhebi's late challenge caught a New Romney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bahi M'hadhebi helped the player get up and apologised. Muhammad Jouili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Akram Sayah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Woodchurch AFC's zone, Ben Aziza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akram Sayah came out of the goal and Ben Aziza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Kaies Chimane 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Issam Massaoud was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, New Romney's Muhammad Jouili got a free kick in the 29th minute. Muhammad Jouili scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akram Sayah, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match, New Romney's goal looked a bit too open when Kaies Chimane came free, but Issam Massaoud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaies Chimane 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Issam Massaoud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Aziza in the 45th minute of play forced Woodchurch AFC's goalkeeper Akram Sayah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaies Chimane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Issam Massaoud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half New Romney were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kaies Chimane made the kick off in the second half. If Kaies Chimane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Issam Massaoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaies Chimane in the 57th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Muhammad Jouili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Woodchurch AFC's zone, Muhammad Jouili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akram Sayah came out of the goal and Muhammad Jouili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 minutes of play Woodchurch AFC's Bahi M'hadhebi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of New Romney booed when Woodchurch AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahi M'hadhebi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muhammad Jouili struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Akram Sayah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Romney.
