With his leg Adel Khayachi managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Howden's Shuaibu Salem fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adel Khayachi came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Howden's Shuaibu Salem. But to his dismay, Shuaibu Salem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Howden's Zine Sassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Majdi Hakimi in the 30th minute of play. Zine Sassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Majdi Hakimi , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zine Trabelsi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zine Sassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Zine Trabelsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zine Sassi having to interfere. If Zine Trabelsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Majdi Hakimi to make the kick off. The supporters of Howden booed when Staveley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bechir Sellimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Hamda Yahia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adel Khayachi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Howden had won after a very even match.
