A collision led to Turnpike Lane getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hatem Hakimi hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see New Cross FC's Mehdi Kalaï in action when he in the 18th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Habib Abdelkader struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Akram Akimi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turnpike Lane. In the 30th minute, Hédi Missaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 32 minutes, Habib Abdelkader managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turnpike Lane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Habib Abdelkader was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Akram Akimi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hedhili Trabelsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Akram Akimi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Abdelkader in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroune Nafti in the 35th minute of play forced Turnpike Lane's goalkeeper Mahmoud Jaber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to New Cross FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Lassaad Abdeljilil hit a great ball. Turnpike Lane's Ali Mzali couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for New Cross FC. In the 43rd minute, Hedhili Trabelsi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Turnpike Lane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of New Cross FC booed when Turnpike Lane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hatem Hakimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The New Cross FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Turnpike Lane were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haroune Nafti made a kick off. If Habib Abdelkader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hedhili Trabelsi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akram Akimi having to make a save. When Lassaad Abdeljilil fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Cross FC's protests and gave Lassaad Abdeljilil a yellow card for diving instead. Lassaad Abdeljilil kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Habib Abdelkader's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Akram Akimi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mohamed Yahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Jaber having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Lassaad Abdeljilil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Turnpike Lane left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New Cross FC.
