The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iteb Naoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. In the 16th minute, Chaker Ghodhbane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamadi Ben Mbarek was a little too slow when Zoubair El Naili got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. Hamadi Ben Mbarek made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Tarek Chikhaoui sent off a good shot on target. Chaker Ghodhbane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moncef Trabelsi having to interfere. In the 31st minute Zoubair El Naili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamadi Ben Mbarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Helmi Essebsi fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frinton City's protests and gave Helmi Essebsi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leigh on Sea AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaker Ghodhbane in the 42nd minute of play forced Frinton City's goalkeeper Moncef Trabelsi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamadi Ben Mbarek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarek Chikhaoui in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chaker Ghodhbane to make the kick off. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Oussama Ben Mbarek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leigh on Sea AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frinton City the free kick. Oussama Ben Mbarek hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Frinton City's Walid Ghigani couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leigh on Sea AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoubair El Naili in the 88th minute of play forced Leigh on Sea AFC's goalkeeper Hamadi Ben Mbarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Chaker Ghodhbane made a precise shot to the right of Moncef Trabelsi. Frinton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Chaker Ghodhbane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
