After 6 played minutes Chelmsford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adel Sallemi. Stroud's Bechir Ouakili got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bechir Ouakili scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maher Khalfaoui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bechir Ouakili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stroud's supporters rose to their feet, but Bechir Ouakili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maher Khalfaoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bechir Ouakili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maher Khalfaoui having to make a save. When Hadj Salem Cherif fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stroud's protests and gave Hadj Salem Cherif a yellow card for diving instead. Hadj Salem Cherif hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute of the match Férid Ben Haggui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Med Ali Dhouib showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Achraf Ben Amor came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Chelmsford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Achraf Ben Amor couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Stroud's Hadj Salem Cherif got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The Chelmsford AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stroud were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raouf Naouali was the one to do the kick off. Stroud's Raouf Naouali was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Raouf Naouali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Maher Khalfaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelmsford AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raouf Naouali in the 70th minute of play forced Chelmsford AFC's goalkeeper Maher Khalfaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maher Khalfaoui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raouf Naouali, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Habib Selliti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maher Khalfaoui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stroud had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
