Abdelbaki Khelil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fathi Azzaro made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Abdelbaki Khelil sent off a good shot on target. Maher Saidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selim Zouaoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Selim Zouaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute of the match Tarak Bouazizi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fathi Azzaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelbaki Khelil got free with Fathi Azzaro in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aymen Memmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fathi Azzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelbaki Khelil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Burton upon Trent City's goal looked a bit too open when Khaled Mouelhi came free, but Maher Saidi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anouar Bassir hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Burton upon Trent City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hitchin were winning 0-1.

In the 74th minute Aymen Memmi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fathi Azzaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Aymen Memmi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fathi Azzaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the game, Anouar Diwa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 97th minute, Habib Baya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Burton upon Trent City fully deserved thier win.
