Hosni Bargawi hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Marouane Decastel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burton upon Trent City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alderney the free kick. 14 minutes into the game, one of Burton upon Trent City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience was convinced that Mehdi Herguel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maher Saidi was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Maher Saidi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burton upon Trent City's Maher Saidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Sallemi in the 94th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Mehdi Herguel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alderney's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehdi Herguel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maher Saidi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alderney's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
