Fakenham were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Great Leighs's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mustafa Saada took the corner. Hamadi Tlatli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fakenham getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Iteb Mzali hit a great ball. Chaouki Jaidi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The long shot by Walid Jaidi in the 18th minute really tested Anis Souissi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 19 played minutes Fakenham got a freekick which was hit by Iteb Mzali. After a defensive mix-up in Fakenham's zone, Hamadi Tlatli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anis Souissi came out of the goal and Hamadi Tlatli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laamari Achour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd match minute, Great Leighs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamadi Tlatli to maneuver through the defense. Tarak Badra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Younes in the 24th minute of play. Haykel Mosrati kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Mehdi Younes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarak Badra having to interfere. The supporters of Great Leighs booed when Fakenham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Saada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Fakenham's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hamadi Tlatli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehdi Younes to make the kick off. If Nejib Jomaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karim Ben Fadhel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Great Leighs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Ben Fadhel couldn't finish the play. Laamari Achour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Francileudo Falhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Mustafa Saada in the 74th minute really tested Tarak Badra 's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Leighs's goalkeeper Tarak Badra , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Great Leighs getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nejib Jomaa hit a great ball. Great Leighs's Laamari Achour got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Laamari Achour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anis Souissi was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Iteb Mzali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Younes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarak Badra having to interfere. Fakenham's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
