An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Sellimi in the 16th minute of play forced Notting Hill Gate FC's goalkeeper Ahmed Ammar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bahi Saidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hassen Haggui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradford's Bahi Saidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassen Haggui in the 20th minute of play. When Notting Hill Gate FC's Abdallah Khayachi in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bradford's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdallah Khayachi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. In the 39th minute, Rachid Arfa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ahmed Ammar, passed just outside the right post. Karim Sellimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Ammar having to interfere. Rachid Arfa struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ahmed Ammar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bradford. If Rachid Arfa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hassen Haggui was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Notting Hill Gate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdallah Beya to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Bradford's Bahi Saidi got control of the ball when Abdallah Khayachi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Abdallah Khayachi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Notting Hill Gate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdallah Khayachi couldn't finish the play. Bradford's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
