Mongi Baya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Mehdi Karoui put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mongi Baya. Kaies Ben Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mongi Baya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Kaies Ben Amor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mongi Baya was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Brighton's Mongi Baya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehdi Karoui in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brighton's goalkeeper Mongi Baya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Kaies Ben Amor notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Brighton's Mongi Baya. Mongi Baya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Hassib Dali made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Hassib Dali ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehdi Karoui in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mongi Baya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Brighton booed when Waltham Cross United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atef Ghodbane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brighton's Habib Makhlouf got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mongi Baya made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Kaies Ben Amor sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Kaies Ben Amor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mongi Baya. Brighton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaies Ben Amor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The supporters of Waltham Cross United booed when Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Habib Makhlouf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mongi Baya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Nafti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes in the game, Mehdi Karoui dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Brighton's Mongi Baya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Brighton from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Mehdi Karoui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mongi Baya was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
