Khaled Sélim Haj Ali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jose Brahem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Meldreth defense, Hamdi Rehouma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Brahem. The Meldreth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Brahem should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed Ali Chedli made a kick off. In the 58th minute Mongi Bejaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamdi Benslimane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamdi Benslimane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Farnham United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Farnham United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
