Hassene Dahmani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Birkdale United's goal looked a bit too open when Mongi Bejaoui came free, but Tarak Jemmali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Brahem made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Sahbi Bensedrine sent off a good shot on target. If Mohamed Ali Chedli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 49 minutes into the match, Meldreth's goal looked a bit too open when Mounir Saada came free, but Jose Brahem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mounir Saada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 67th play minute Mongi Bejaoui came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tarak Jemmali. 0-2. Chokri Jebali kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Mohamed Ali Chedli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Birkdale United a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lotfi Chouchane, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meldreth's Jose Brahem. 1-2. The Birkdale United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Meldreth's performance. The match ended with a win for Meldreth.
