To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bahi Chikhaoui during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to West Kirby United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bahi Chikhaoui hit a great ball. Chaker Sellami was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes West Kirby United got a freekick which was hit by Tarek Mkacher. Adel Abdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 14 played minutes West Kirby United got a freekick which was hit by Oussama Mechergui. In the 20thth minute of the game Hédi Zouaoui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whittlesey FC's Mehdi Amor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Habib Tonniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Riadh Laabidi having to interfere. After having played for 50 minutes, Hédi Zouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Kirby United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hédi Zouaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mondher Soliman managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Kirby United's supporters rose to their feet, but Mondher Soliman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hédi Zouaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
