Faouzi El Ouaer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Moustafa Fergani made a huge save. If Habib El Ouaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brahim Miaâdi in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moustafa Fergani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Girton AFC's zone, Faouzi El Ouaer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moustafa Fergani came out of the goal and Faouzi El Ouaer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faouzi El Ouaer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Faouzi El Ouaer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leamington Spa City's supporters rose to their feet, but Faouzi El Ouaer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moustafa Fergani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Leamington Spa City's goal looked a bit too open when Habib El Ouaer came free, but Iteb Belgacem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Girton AFC booed when Leamington Spa City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nizar al-Munsif Bey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Faouzi El Ouaer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moustafa Fergani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With an all-out effort, Leamington Spa City's Moustafa Fergani threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brahim Miaâdi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Habib El Ouaer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iteb Belgacem came out and tried to block the shot, but Habib El Ouaer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 69th minute. In the 75th match minute, Girton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Ouhir to maneuver through the defense. Faouzi El Ouaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moustafa Fergani having to interfere. Iteb Belgacem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habib El Ouaer in the 95th minute of the match. Girton AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
