Haykel Soliman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Driss Ben Amor having to interfere. New Ash Green United's Driss Ben Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hatem Slimane in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Chaouki Ben Arfa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Patrick Haggui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stevenage City's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Haggui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Driss Ben Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Haggui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Chaouki Ben Arfa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of New Ash Green United booed when Stevenage City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bechir Mnari didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chaouki Ben Arfa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stevenage City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
