The referee gave Abdallah Jemâa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lotfi Slimane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Chouchane having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Ashton-under-Lyne AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jemeleddine Ladgham came free, but Pierre Chouchane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierre Chouchane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lotfi Slimane in the 29th minute of play. Jemeleddine Ladgham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lotfi Slimane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ashton-under-Lyne AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Riadh Dhouib hit a great ball. Pierre Chouchane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Riadh Robime was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashton-under-Lyne AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gainsborough City the free kick. Pierre Chouchane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gainsborough City. When Gainsborough City's Jemeleddine Ladgham in 73 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pierre Chouchane guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gainsborough City's Jemeleddine Ladgham was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 73rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Muhammad Korbi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Lotfi Slimane was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 85th minute, Ashton-under-Lyne AFC's Wissem Haggui seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wissem Haggui the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ashton-under-Lyne AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wissem Haggui had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Pierre Chouchane, was totally fooled by Gainsborough City's Wissem Ghigani, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 96 minutes into the match, Ashton-under-Lyne AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lotfi Slimane came free, but Pierre Chouchane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ashton-under-Lyne AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gainsborough City's performance. The match ended with a win for Gainsborough City.
