Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jalel Jbara got the match started through his kick off. Habib Sguir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamdi Meriah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Hamdi Meriah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Habib Sguir in the 5th minute. Achraf Gmamdia took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Riadh Salah. Riadh Salah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Habib Sguir succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 15th playminute. Riadh Salah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Bourguiba in the 18th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Jalel Jbara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alderley Edge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southbourne United the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmed Bourguiba in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Riadh Salah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes in the game, Ahmed Bourguiba dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Riadh Salah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmed Bourguiba went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Southbourne United's Hamdi Meriah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jalel Jbara in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Southbourne United's Ahmed Bourguiba made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Riadh Salah was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, Alderley Edge's Jalel Jbara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamdi Meriah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Achraf Gmamdia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southbourne United's supporters rose to their feet, but Achraf Gmamdia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Riadh Salah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Southbourne United were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmed Bourguiba to strike the kick off in the second half. Haythem Hammami hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ahmed Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Riadh Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jalel Jbara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alderley Edge's supporters rose to their feet, but Jalel Jbara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamdi Meriah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jalel Jbara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Alderley Edge's Moustafa Bourguiba got a free kick in the 71st minute. Ismail Bey hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Ahmed Bourguiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Oussama Hicheri put in a rough tackle. Achraf Gmamdia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmed Bourguiba struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Riadh Salah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southbourne United. When Habib Sguir came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Alderley Edge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Habib Sguir couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Southbourne United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alderley Edge throughout the match.
