The referee ignored Huyton AFC's protests and gave Sabri Korbi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Sabri Korbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 minutes of play, Kirkby in Ashfield's Atef Memmi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faouzi Sioud was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7th match minute, Kirkby in Ashfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mounir Mechergui to maneuver through the defense. If Hatem Ben Namouchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hatem Ben Namouchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huyton AFC's Faouzi Sioud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atef Memmi in the 15th minute of play. Sabri Korbi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Huyton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Atef Memmi came free, but Faouzi Sioud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atef Memmi took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faouzi Sioud. Faouzi Sioud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Zine Baccouche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huyton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zine Baccouche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adel Saidi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huyton AFC's Zine Baccouche got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Huyton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Atef Memmi came free, but Faouzi Sioud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirkby in Ashfield's Adel Saidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wissem Essafi in the 41st minute of play. Zine Baccouche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kirkby in Ashfield getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mounir Mechergui hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atef Memmi was the one to do the kick off. Atef Memmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Faouzi Sioud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Kirkby in Ashfield's Mohamed Ghodhbane tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Houcine Ghodhbane hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Zine Baccouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Huyton AFC's Habib Jaballah got a free kick in the 67th minute. Wissem Essafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel Saidi having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Zine Baccouche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 played minutes, Huyton AFC's Habib Jaballah shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adel Saidi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Huyton AFC reached it. In the 81st minute, Férid Kalaï hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Kirkby in Ashfield's goal looked a bit too open when Zine Baccouche came free, but Adel Saidi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Férid Kalaï sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Huyton AFC's Faouzi Sioud didn't even have to move.
