After a rather tough play, Gaafour's Ahmed Azzaro got a free kick in the 18th minute. Zoubeir Benachour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chokri Bourguiba came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gaafour's Haythem Akid. But to his dismay, Haythem Akid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohamed Kaâbi got free with Wissem Bouzaiene in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohamed Kaâbi in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wissem Bouzaiene, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zoubeir Benachour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Chokri Bourguiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rachid Gasmi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Chokri Bourguiba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoubeir Benachour, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Haythem Akid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamza Haggui to strike the kick off in the second half. Wissem Bouzaiene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Kaâbi in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Hamza Haggui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wissem Bouzaiene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gaafour's zone, Mohamed Kaâbi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wissem Bouzaiene came out of the goal and Mohamed Kaâbi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohamed Kaâbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamza Haggui took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wissem Bouzaiene. Wissem Bouzaiene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 85 minutes into the game, Hamza Haggui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Wissem Bouzaiene was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zoubeir Benachour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haythem Akid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mohamed Kaâbi came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Retford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Kaâbi couldn't finish the play. Retford FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gaafour for a fine match.
