After a defensive mix-up in Sandhurst City's zone, Abdelkarim Boumnijel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achraf Kerrit came out of the goal and Abdelkarim Boumnijel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sandhurst City getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Hassan Bensedrine hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdeljelil Fitouri got free with Achraf Kerrit in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdelkarim Boumnijel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achraf Kerrit having to interfere. If Abdeljelil Fitouri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Adel Sallemi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reigate's Zouheir Bargougui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Abdeljelil Fitouri came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Reigate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdeljelil Fitouri couldn't finish the play. When Reigate's Abdelkarim Boumnijel in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdelkarim Boumnijel to make the kick off.
