The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jean Nafti kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Walthamstow's zone, Mohamed Adhoum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zine Bourguiba came out of the goal and Mohamed Adhoum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zine Bourguiba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Mokthar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Nafti charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Nafti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Walthamstow got a freekick which was hit by Jean Nafti. Jean Nafti kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Zine Bourguiba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaies Marzouki in the 17th minute. Mohamed Mokthar had several of the Walthamstow's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Zine Bourguiba as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hassan Meriah hit a great ball. Dunton Bassett's Mohamed Mokthar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kaies Marzouki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Walthamstow's Zine Bourguiba got control of the ball when Mohamed Mokthar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kaies Marzouki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zine Bourguiba having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaies Marzouki to make the kick off. Kaies Marzouki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Zine Bourguiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chedi Jbara hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Zine Bourguiba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaies Marzouki went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Kaies Marzouki took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zine Bourguiba. Zine Bourguiba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 67 minutes into the match, Walthamstow's goal looked a bit too open when Kaies Marzouki came free, but Zine Bourguiba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dunton Bassett were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Walthamstow's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Issam El Hadj Kacem took the corner. Dunton Bassett's Issam El Hadj Kacem was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zine Bourguiba in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dunton Bassett's Mohamed Adhoum got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hassan Meriah hit a great ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Hamdi Chedli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walthamstow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamdi Chedli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zine Bourguiba came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Dunton Bassett's Kaies Marzouki. But to his dismay, Kaies Marzouki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Kaies Marzouki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Kaies Marzouki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunton Bassett's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaies Marzouki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zine Bourguiba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walthamstow's Zine Bourguiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Mokthar in the 91st minute of play. Dunton Bassett's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
