When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adel Mouelhi sped through Beckton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mourad Escheikh. Ahmed Bhar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sami Thabet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Escheikh having to interfere. A collision led to Beckton getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ayèche Ben Youssef hit a great ball. Beckton's Mourad Escheikh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sami Thabet in the 38th minute of play. Mourad Escheikh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Thabet in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Sami Thabet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Thabet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Amine Ben Younes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Bhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes in the game, Sami Thabet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mourad Escheikh having to interfere. If Sami Thabet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sami Thabet struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mourad Escheikh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambridge. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Hichem Ben Salah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beckton's supporters rose to their feet, but Hichem Ben Salah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amine Ben Younes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hichem Ben Salah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Amine Ben Younes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beckton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cambridge had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
