In the 10th match minute, Cambridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adel Mouelhi to maneuver through the defense. Amine Ben Younes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Néji Saidi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adel Mouelhis short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Noureddine Idir to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Polzeath's Majed Ben Jemmali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amine Ben Younes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Montassar Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Cambridge's goal looked a bit too open when Majed Ben Jemmali came free, but Amine Ben Younes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Adel Mouelhi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adel Mouelhi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cambridge's Sami Thabet in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polzeath's goalie prevented a goal. Amine Ben Younes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montassar Cherif, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Majed Ben Jemmali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montassar Cherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amine Ben Younes having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Majed Ben Jemmali who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambridge's Amine Ben Younes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Sami Thabet made the kick off in the second half. Adel Mouelhi scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noureddine Idir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adel Mouelhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noureddine Idir having to interfere. In the 66th minute Majed Ben Jemmali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amine Ben Younes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noureddine Idir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adel Mouelhi in the 70th minute of play. Sami Thabet hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the game, Mongi Ghigani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polzeath the free kick. A collision led to Cambridge getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Mongi Ghigani hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Polzeath's Pierre Ayari tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dali Essediri's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amine Ben Younes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Montassar Cherif took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amine Ben Younes . Amine Ben Younes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Adel Mouelhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adel Mouelhi in the 96th minute of play forced Polzeath's goalkeeper Noureddine Idir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cambridge's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
