In the 17th minute Anis Khaled shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taoufik Jawachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Riadh Ouertani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bechir Baya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel Sellimi having to interfere. Riadh Ouertani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Rochester's Hamed Bargawi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adel Sellimi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Riadh Ouertani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taoufik Jawachi having to interfere. A collision led to Rochester getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mehdi Lamouchi hit a great ball. Rochester's Hamed Bargawi got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 49th minute of the match Hamza Mechergui sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Taoufik Jawachi skillfully saved the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bechir Baya made the kick off in the second half. Adel Sellimi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bechir Baya, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Riadh Ouertani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hornchurch City's supporters rose to their feet, but Riadh Ouertani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anis Khaled might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taoufik Jawachi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 89 played minutes Rochester got a freekick which was hit by Dali Merdassi. 90 minutes into the match, Hornchurch City's Hamza Mechergui broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Anis Khaled had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the match, Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Anis Khaled came free, but Taoufik Jawachi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Hornchurch City's goal looked a bit too open when Hamed Bargawi came free, but Adel Sellimi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
