In the 16th minute, Ashburton United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abdelbaki Attouga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chaouki Cherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Salah Idir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Ashburton United got a freekick which was hit by Kais Ayari. In the 36th minute of the match Patrick Dhaouadi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmad Bourguiba skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute, Sami Ouakili sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Watford City's Salah Idir didn't even have to move.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sadok Naoui was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ashburton United's Mohamed Ali Meoki got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 60 minutes, Aymen M'Hedhbi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Watford City and the Ashburton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aymen M'Hedhbi kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, Watford City's Salah Idir got control of the ball when Chaouki Cherif tried to sneak it across the goal line. Watford City's Abdelbaki Attouga got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ashburton United's Ahmad Bourguiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadok Naoui in the 95th minute of play. Ashburton United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
