They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Riadh Chatti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Habib Jemmali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. When Hamadi Mestiri fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cookham's protests and gave Hamadi Mestiri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Cookham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamadi Mestiri to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sandbach booed when Cookham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Tlatli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
