After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Fethi Sélim Haj Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denholme's supporters rose to their feet, but Fethi Sélim Haj Ali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lofti Nouira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helmi Sioud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helmi Ladgham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Helmi Sioud's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Helmi Sioud scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helmi Ladgham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Helmi Ladgham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarak Sfar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Helmi Sioud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmi Ladgham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sadok Bouazizi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Lofti Nouira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denholme. In the 48th minute of the match, Sadok Bouazizi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lofti Nouira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Helmi Sioud made a kick off. Helmi Ladgham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmi Sioud in the 57th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmi Sioud couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute of the match Laaroussi Essebsi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helmi Ladgham showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helmi Sioud in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmi Ladgham saved Denholme from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Helmi Sioud reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helmi Ladgham. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 73rd minute, Sadok Bouazizi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zoubair Dali kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Laaroussi Essebsi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Helmi Ladgham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helmi Sioud in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Denholme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Boumnijel to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Smisby walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
